Intrinsically Safe LED Flashlight
Intrinsically safe flashlights are explosion-proof and are built to be used in dangerous locations.
Simple LED Flashlight Operation
Operating the Fenix WF30RE intrinsically safe flashlight is easy and doesn't have much of a learning curve to it. It has a single side switch that allows you to turn the light on and off and select which brightness level you want. Simply hold the switch for half a second to turn the flashlight on and off. When the flashlight is on, you can single click to cycle through the brightness levels starting with low and going to high. The WF30RE features a memory circuit so the light will remember the last brightness level you used and turn on to that brightness level the next time you use your light. With this light, you have four outputs: high of 280 lumens, medium of 120 lumens, low of 30 lumens, and a strobe mode of 280 lumens. Between these brightness levels, you're set for a multitude of situations. The low brightness level will conserve the battery more and is great for close-up work or illuminating your path. The high brightness level lets you see a bit further and is better to use if you need to light up a wider area.
Versatile LED Light that's Ready for Anything
We covered two of the biggest features of the WF30RE, but there's more to discuss with this light. It uses a neutral white LED and has an orange peel reflector which means that you're going to be seeing a very soft and diffused beam that's easy on the eyes. Neutral white LEDs provide a mellow light compared to a cool white LED that’s sharp. So with the WF30RE, the neutral white LED won't feel harsh on your eyes making it easier to do daily tasks.
Another handy feature of the Fenix WF30RE is the battery level indicator. When the flashlight is off you can single click the side switch and a LED on the switch will glow to let you know what the status of the battery is. You can check the battery level at any time and plan your usage accordingly.
The last thing we want to touch on is how durable this flashlight is. Working in these hazardous environments you need a flashlight that you know you can rely on. The Fenix WF30RE is made of a high-quality A6061-T6 aluminum alloy. It's impact resistant up to 1.5 m and is water and dustproof up to IP68 standards which means you could submerge the flashlight and 2 meters of water for half an hour and it would work just fine.
It's really exciting that Fenix developed this rechargeable flashlight. It takes about 5 1/2 hours to charge the battery fully which isn’t too long. Also, due to the battery's power, it can be used for significant periods of time. The maximum run time of the WF30RE is 120 hours so you can use this flashlight for a very long time before you need to charge it again.
