Fenix LD15R Rechargeable Flashlight - Every Day Carry Flashlight Review

Welcome back to Fenix-store.com. Today We have announced the arrival of a new Fenix LD15R Every Day Carry(EDC) Flashlight with a max output of 500 Lumens. I will be doing a breakdown and review of what we know and how this flashlight can be used.

The 500 Lumen output is powered by a single Tenergy CR123 or a Fenix L16 700mAH Rechargeable Li-ion Battery. As you know our preference would be to use the rechargeable 700mAH battery, it will give you almost the same amount of runtime as the CR123 with the benefit of it being rechargeable. And let's face it it's convenient to use this battery for the new LD15R because it has a Micro-USB port for charging. The total accumulated runtime with the L14 700mAH battery in the LD15R will be 1 hour and 20 minutes.

The Fenix LD15R also has a high output with a runtime of 2 hours and 50 minutes, the medium is output is 30 lumens and will give you a runtime of 13 hours and 20 minutes, and the final white output is 3 lumens and it has a runtime of 110 hours. another added feature of the new LD15R is that it has a red LED. The max output that you will get on the red LED is 4 lumens at a runtime of 30 hours. The red LED on the LD15R also has a signal output and SOS output. As is with many other Fenix flashlights the LD15R is IP68 rated for 2 meters or 6.5 feet underwater for 30 minutes.

Let's talk a little about the features that the Fenix LD15R brings to the table. One of the biggest features I believe that this LD15R has is the magnetic bottom. This is a feature that really makes the Fenix LD15R one of the best everyday carry (EDC) flashlights of 2018. You can already imagine how many mechanics and HVAC specialists are happy to hear that this light came out. It will be easy to hang, and with the right angle design, it will be even easier to light up any work that you have going on. That is not the only feature that I wanted to discuss, the LD15R also has a 2-way body clip. You not consider this a big feature, but is actually is. This will make the Fenix LD15R easy to hang on tactical vests, which is something that many law enforcement and military personnel look for. The fact that it has a right angle design makes it a perfect light to have while on duty.

The last feature I wanted to discuss is the battery level indicator. The on and off button serves at the battery level indicator. There are 4 levels of indication Green constant which is 100%-85% of battery life left, Green flashing which is 85%-50% of battery life left, Red constant which is 50%-25% battery life left, and finally, red flashing which is 25%-1% flashing. This is a really nice feature that will let you know how much battery is left, especially if you are out in the wilderness you will want to keep an eye out for this.
