fenix tk16 v2 tactical flashlight

Hello, my name is Logan, and I am a member of the Fenix Store team, and I am here today, hoping to talk a little bit, and possibly even enlighten you on two of our amazing Tactical Fenix flashlights. Today we will be covering the tributes and differences between the TK15UE and the TK16. Two lights from our amazing TK Series.

We'll first start off beginning with the TK15UE Fenix flashlight. Now, this light was designed for extreme ruggedness. This light employs the new CREE XP-L HI V3 LED technology with the lifespan of 50,000 hours. And with that LED, it does allow the light to throw an impressive beam distance of 325 meters. It does have a maximum output of 1000 lumens.

Now, some of the specific specs of this flashlight: It is a little less than 6 inches in length, at approximately 5.6 inches. The body diameter is about 1 inch and the head diameter is about 1.3 inches. It does weigh approximately 5 ounces, that is without the batteries.

Now, it does have four main modes. The first mode, "Turbo" which does come with 1000 lumens output. The run time is 2 hours with the distance, once again at 325 meters. The second mode is "High" with 350 lumen output. The run-time on that is 4 hours and 20 minutes with the distance of 194 meters. Next, we have the "Mid" mode which is 150 lumen output. Run-time of 11 hours and 30 minutes, a distance of 125 meters. Finally, the last mode is "Low", which has an output of 10 lumens, a run-time of 135 hours and a distance of 31 meters. The last thing it does feature is the strobe function which is an output of 1000 lumens.

Now, with the TK15UE, it does come with a holster, a lanyard, a spare O-ring, a spare rubber switch boot, and the user manual and the warranty card.

Next, we'll be moving onto the TK16 Tactical Flashlight (upgraded to the Fenix TK16 V2.0 tactical flashlight). This light, just like the TK15UE, does have a maximum output of 1000 lumens. It's throwing distance however is 240 meters and the main difference between the two flashlights however is the dual tail cap switch which provides instant strobe and momentary on function enabling.

Now, on the TK16 since both buttons are on the tail switch, unlike the TK15UE where you would have the tail switch for the function and then you have a side button for the mode selection. The size of the TK16 is 5.5 inches, just a slight bit smaller in length than the TK15UE. The body diameter is the same at one inch, and the head diameter is once again the same at 1.3 inches. It does however weigh 4.3 ounces, just a shy bit comparatively to the TK15UE.

Now once again, the maximum output on "Turbo" for the TK16 is 1000 lumens. Its runtime however is 1 hour and 10 minutes. The next mode we have is the "High" mode which has an output of 400 lumens and a runtime of 3 hours and 25 minutes. Next mode we have is "Mid" with an output of 150 lumens and 10 hours of runtime. Next, the "Low" mode which is 10 lumens at 150 hours. And lastly, like the TK15UE, is the strobe function, which once again is 1000 lumens. Out of the box, the TK16 does come with a lanyard, a holster, a spare O-ring, the user manual and the warranty card.

Now, both of these flashlights do run off of one 18650 rechargeable or two CR123 batteries. Mainly, the main difference between the two Fenix flashlights that we're talking about today are going to be the unique dual tail switch on the TK16 comparatively to the side button on the TK15UE. However, with the TK15UE, you will have a longer runtime on most of your modes, considerably "Turbo" and "High".

Both of these flashlights do make incredible gifts and whichever model you pick for a friend or even a loved one, Fenix lights do have a certain reputation. They use it mainly for running and jogging, whether it be in the morning or at night. They say it's extremely durable, has been dropped a couple of times but no damage whatsoever from any drop that they have done - Has caused the light to not be able to function as it has been designed.
