The Fenix C7 V2 High-Output Work Flashlight is built for professionals and serious users who demand reliable, powerful illumination in demanding environments. Generating an intense 3,300 lumens with a beam that reaches up to 1,887 feet (575 meters), this light handles everything from sprawling job sites and search operations to utility work in tight, dark spaces. Powered by the included 5000mAh 21700 rechargeable battery, the C7 V2 delivers up to 79 hours of continuous runtime and recharges fully in just 3 hours via USB Type-C, so downtime stays minimal. A built-in battery level indicator keeps you informed before you head into the field, and the constant current circuit maintains consistent brightness throughout the discharge cycle.

Designed to perform where it counts, the C7 V2 is IP68-rated waterproof, including an internally waterproofed charging port, and impact resistant to drops from 1 meter. It operates reliably in temperatures ranging from -31°F to 113°F (-35°C to 45°C), making it equally at home in a freezing warehouse or a scorching outdoor worksite. A magnetic tail cap lets you hands-free mount the light on any metal surface, while the single-switch interface, electronic lockout function, and durable pocket clip add everyday practicality. Strobe and SOS modes round out the feature set for emergency readiness.

Q: What are the key features of the C7 V2?

A: Fenix C7 V2 is a high-output work flashlight. Its key features include:

  1. 3300 lumens maximum output and 575 meters maximum beam distance.
  2. Powered by an included ARB-L21-5000 V2.0 rechargeable battery.
  3. Inner waterproof USB Type-C charging port.

Q: What kind of LED is used in C7 V2?

A: Utilizes one Luminus SFT70 Gen2 LED with a lifespan of 50,000 hours.

Q: What is the operating voltage of C7 V2?

A: 3.0 - 4.2V.

Q: Is C7 V2 rechargeable? How long is the charging time?

A: Yes. The C7 V2 is rechargeable via its USB Type-C charging port. The battery level indicator will display red while charging and will turn green when fully charged. The normal charging time of the included battery is approximately 3 hours from depleted to fully charged with a 5V/2A or above charging adapter. The C7 V2 does not support fast charging.

Q: How to prevent accidentally activating the C7 V2?

A: The C7 V2 features a lockout function.

Lock: With the light turned off, double click the side switch within 0.5 seconds, the light will blink twice in Low output to indicate the locked status.

Unlock: With the light locked, double click the side switch within 0.5 seconds, the light will activate in Low output to indicate that the light is unlocked.

Note: In locked status, any operation other than battery level indication and unlocking will activate two blinks in Low output to indicate the locked status.

Q: Why does the C7 V2 downshift to a lower mode after being used for a while and the higher mode cannot be selected?

A: There are two reasons:

1. Intelligent Overheat Protection

The flashlight will accumulate a lot of heat when used at high output for extended periods. When the flashlight reaches a temperature of 60°C/140°F or above, it will automatically step down its output level to reduce the temperature.

2. Low-voltage Warning

When the voltage level drops below the preset level, the flashlight is programmed to downshift to a lower brightness level until the lowest output is reached.

Q: Why does the C7 V2 sometimes flicker?

A: The reasons that may cause the flashlight to flicker, shine intermittently or even fail to illuminate:

1. Poor battery level.

Solution: Recharge or replace the battery.

2. The contact or contact point of the battery or flashlight is dirty.

Solution: Clean the contact points with a cotton swab soaked in rubbing alcohol.

If the above methods don't work, please contact your authorized distributor.

Operating Instructions

On/Off: press and hold the side switch for 0.5 seconds to turn the flashlight on/off.

Mode Switching: press and hold the side switch for 1.2 seconds to enter Strobe. Single-click the side switch to select between Strobe and SOS.

Output Selection: with the light on, single-click the side switch to cycle Eco → Low → Med → High → Turbo.

Lock/Unlock: with the light off, double-click the side switch within 0.5 seconds to lock (blinks twice in Low output to confirm). Double-click again within 0.5 seconds to unlock (activates in Low output).

Intelligent Memory Circuit: the light remembers the last-used output level, but only for outputs of 1000 lumens or below (excluding Strobe and SOS).

Battery & Charging

Uses a Fenix ARB-L21 series 21700 battery (3.6V, included). To replace: unscrew the light tail, insert the battery anode side (+) toward the light head, and screw the tail back on. Do not use 16340 batteries or LiFePO4 (18650, 3.2V) batteries — both are banned for this light; other 21700 Li-ion batteries should be used with caution.

To charge: turn off the flashlight, open the anti-dust cover to reveal the USB Type-C port, and connect the charging cable. The indicator glows red while charging and turns green when full — be sure to unplug and close the anti-dust cover once done. Charging from empty takes about 3 hours with a 5V/2A or higher adapter (this light does not support fast charging; only use a certified adapter). The light can be used while charging.

Battery Level Indication

Each time the light is turned on, the indicator shows the current battery level for 3 seconds.

  • Green, on: saturated, 100–85%
  • Green, flashing: sufficient, 85–50%
  • Red, on: poor, 50–25%
  • Red, flashing: critical, 25–1%

Protection Features

Intelligent Overheat Protection: at 60°C/140°F or above, the light automatically steps down output to cool down, and gradually restores the preset level once temperature drops.

Low-Voltage Warning: below 3.0V, the light downshifts to Eco. At Eco, the indicator blinks red rapidly and the light itself blinks for 20 seconds as a reminder; single-click the switch to stop the blinking and stay in Eco (usable for 30+ more minutes) until the battery needs recharging.

Care & Maintenance

  • Do not disassemble the sealed head — this voids the warranty.
  • Use only a high-quality battery.
  • Remove the battery for storage if the light won't be used for an extended period.
  • Unscrew the light tail or remove the battery during storage/transport to prevent accidental activation.
  • Replace the O-ring with an approved spare if it shows wear, to maintain the waterproof seal.
  • Clean battery contacts periodically with a rubbing-alcohol-soaked cotton swab if the light flickers or won't turn on.

Ver Bright & Long Throw

"This flashlight is very bright and with the narrow center beam has a very long throw. I use it walking the dogs at night in a wild open recreation area behind our home. The beam on this pocket sized light reaches further than all my other pocket sized lights due to the narrowed center beam, but still has a wide enough flood to light up the area immediately around us. That gives me a sense of safety that is stronger than my other lights. It lasts a long time as well. The side switch is easy enough to operate, but I do miss having a tail switch on this light as I have on all my other Fenix lights. But still, if I want to have a long throw, this is my go-to light because it just pierces the darkness like nothing else. I highly recommend this light especially for people who live near wild areas or who go camping/backpacking or exploring. This is a solid light bar none!"
