What kind of LED is used in LD45R?
A Luminus SFT70 LED with a lifespan of 50,000 hours.
Q. What is the color temperature of LD45R?
A: Around 6500K.
Q. What are the working voltage and the working current of LD45R?
A: The working voltage is 2.8 V - 4.2 V and the maximum working current is 15 A.
Q. What is the runtime of the Turbo output?
A: The runtime of Turbo output is 2 hours 40 minutes. However, the light will accumulate a significant amount of heat used at Turbo output. When the light reaches a certain temperature, the light will automatically step down a few lumens to reduce the temperature. Therefore, this runtime data is measured in total of runtime including output at reduced levels due to temperature or protection mechanism in the design. According to the ANSI/PLATO FL1 standard, this runtime data is from the results produced by Fenix through its laboratory testing under the temperature of 21±3°C. (For additional details, please check the runtime graphic in the user manual).
*According to the ANSI/PLATO FL1 standard, the initial reading of runtime is taken at 30 seconds of continuous operation, and the end point of reading is reached when the output value reaches 10% of the initial value.
Q. Is LD45R rechargeable? How long is the charging time?
A: Yes, LD45R is rechargeable with a USB Type-C port. While charging, please follow the steps below:
- Open the anti-dust cover to reveal the charging port, then connect the USB Type-C end of the charging cable to the flashlight.
- When charging, the OLED smart display will automatically show the charging icon and the current battery level to indicate the charging status.
- Once charging is completed, be sure to unplug the charging cable and close the anti-dust cover to maintain the dustproof and waterproof ability. The normal charging time of the included rechargeable battery is approximately 3 hours from depleted to fully charged with a 5V/2.5 A charging adapter.
Q. Why does the LD45R downshift to a lower mode after being used for a while and the higher mode cannot be selected?
A: There are two reasons:
1. Intelligent Overheat Protection
The flashlight will accumulate a lot of heat when used at high output levels for extended periods. When the light reaches a temperature of 60°C or above, the light will automatically step down a few lumens to reduce the temperature.
2. Low-voltage Warning
When the voltage level drops below the preset level, the flashlight is programmed to downshift to a lower brightness level until the Eco output is reached.
Q. Why does the LD45R happen to flicker?
A: The reasons that may cause the light to flicker, shine intermittently or even fail to illuminate:
1. Poor battery level.
Solution: Recharge or replace the battery.
2. The contact or contact point of the battery or light is dirty.
Solution: Clean the contact points with a cotton swab soaked in rubbing alcohol.
If the above methods don't work, please contact your authorized distributor.
Q. What kind of battery can be used in LD45R? Why does the Turbo output cannot be selected while using a Fenix ARB-L21-5000 battery or a Fenix ARB-L21-5000U battery?
A: It is recommended to use a Fenix ARB-L21-5000 V2.0 battery. The Fenix ARB-L21-5000 and the Fenix ARB-L21-5000U batteries are not compatible with the LD45R flashlight because their minimum overcurrent protection values are 14 A. The LD45R flashlight has a maximum working current that exceeds 14 A. Therefore, if you use either of these batteries, the flashlight will shut off due to the battery protection mechanism.
