Great LD Evolution - The LD22 Version 2
"Years ago, I started using a Fenix LD20. When the first version of the LD22 appeared, I thought the 2- AA battery, EDC flashlight could get no better. But now, with the introduction of the LD22V2, I have to admit I was wrong. You can take everything I loved about the original LD22, the on/off tail switch, the light mode button, the great size and shape and make it all better by adding a newer, more efficient and powerful LED bulb, a more powerful battery option that increase the maximum output of the light, but make it all a little smaller, shorter, and thinner and you'd have the LD22 Version 2. In my work, I need a light that I can carry very easily. The LD 22 V2 fits in a side pocket on my flight suit perfectly. I need a light that has a low illumination level for checking in small areas like the housing around the tail rotor gear box or inside the engine compartments of our helicopter, looking at oil levels and checking for leaks. But I also need a fairly bright light for inspecting rotor blades and the exterior of the helicopter on pre-fights. Add to that the need for a good signaling device for getting the attention of ground EMS crews when we're in remote LZ's at night. The LD22 V2 has all those wonderful abilities. from2 lumens in Eco to 800 lumens in Turbo, with two levels of strobe 350or 800) and a 100 lumen SOS. . It doesn't get any better!"
