The Fenix CP50R Road Hazard Camping Lantern is built to perform in the most demanding conditions, whether you’re lighting up a campsite, signaling for roadside emergencies, or working in low-light environments. With a 5500-lumen maximum output and a beam distance reaching up to 1476 feet, this powerhouse ensures you’ll never be left in the dark. Choose between spotlight, floodlight, or a combination of both, with stepless brightness regulation from 7 to 5500 lumens giving you complete control over your lighting environment.

But the CP50R isn’t just about raw brightness! It’s also about versatility. A rotatable 360° magnetic handle allows hands-free placement, ideal for mechanics or roadside vehicle repairs. For added safety, the lantern features multiple red light modes including flashing and chasing lights, as well as a distinctive red triangle hazard signal, yellow flash, and even a green LED for enhanced visibility. With stepless color temperature adjustment between 2700K–6500K, you can shift seamlessly from warm ambient light to cool white for task lighting.

Beyond its great lighting features, the CP50R is convenient to use and take with you anywhere thanks to its two high-capacity 21700 batteries, and its ability to both recharge via USB-C charging and discharge to your other devices if you find yourself without power. A threaded socket allows tripod mounting for stable area illumination, while its IP66 waterproof rating and 1-meter impact resistance mean it’s tough enough for both outdoor adventures and roadside emergencies. Whether camping, trekking, or handling unexpected hazards, the CP50R is the ultimate multi-purpose lantern that adapts to your needs.

Q: What kind of LEDs are used in CP50R?

A: It uses one four-color COB light strip, twenty-four 3014 red LEDs, and one Luminus SFT70 LED; with a lifespan of 50,000 hours each.

Q: What kind of battery can be used in CP50R?

A: It is recommended to use two included Fenix ARB-L21-6000 batteries. Other Fenix ARB-L21 series batteries are also usable.

Q: What is the color temperature of CP50R?

A: The Spotlight has a fixed color temperature of 6500K. Only the Floodlight and Spot-and floodlight offer adjustable color temperature, ranging from 2700K to 6500K.

*Only the Floodlight's color temperature is adjustable in the Spot-and floodlight mode.

Q: What are the working voltage and working current of CP50R?

A: Working current: 30mA-20A. Working voltage: 3.0 - 4.2 V.

Q: Is CP50R rechargeable? How long is the charging time?

A: Yes, CP50R is rechargeable with a USB Type-C port. The maximum charging power is 22.5 W. With the lantern turned off, the normal charging time of the two included ARB-L21-6000 batteries is at least 3 hours from depleted to fully charged.

Q: How to prevent accidental activation of the CP50R?

A: Remove the batteries to prevent accidental activation before placing the lantern in a closed and flammable environment such as pockets and backpacks.

Q: Is the CP50R still waterproof if the anti-dust cover is left open?

A: Yes. The CP50R’s ports feature inner waterproof treatment. However, users are advised to securely close the anti-dust cap when using the lantern.

Q: Why does the CP50R downshift to a lower mode after being used for a while and the higher mode cannot be selected?

A: There are two reasons:

  1. Intelligent Overheat Protection

The lantern will accumulate a lot of heat when used at high output levels for extended periods. When the lantern reaches a temperature of 54°C/129.2°F or above, the lantern will automatically step down a few lumens to reduce the temperature. When the temperature drops below 54°C/129.2°F, the lantern will gradually recall the preset output level.

2. Low-voltage Warning

When the voltage level drops below the preset level, one battery level indicator blinks to remind users to recharge or replace the batteries in a timely manner. To ensure normal use, the lantern will not turn off automatically and will work till the battery runs out.

Q: Why might the CP50R sometimes flicker?

A: The reasons that may cause the lantern to flicker, shine intermittently or even fail to illuminate:

1. Poor battery level.

Solution: Recharge or replace the batteries.

2. The contact or contact point of the battery or lantern is dirty.

Solution: Clean the contact points with a cotton swab soaked in rubbing alcohol.

If the above methods don't work, please contact your authorized distributor.
