Great light but stupid battery.

"Great light but the BS proprietary battery dropped it 2 stars. Only reason is so Fenix could make a 1,000% profit on it. Could have easily made a caddy that holds 4 21700 cells that's inside the battery. You are paying over $200 if you need to replace! Absolutely insane. Inside this proprietary battery you will find 4 Samsung 40T batteries which are $6. 99 each! I've taken my battery apart and replaced the Samsung 21700 40T batteries that came with the battery pack and slapped in some Molicel P50B for more runtime. Total cost? $37. These companies are so sleazy."

"The first item was defective not charging thus had to exchange for a replacement and the 2 nd one is also DEFECTIVE, support team recommended a fenix compatible charger thus I ordered the charger. My Final Fenix Light

"This was purchased to use for search and rescue, but its embarrassing battery life makes it a heavy burden in the field. The brightness on the highest levels drops quickly to preserver the light and prevent overheating, but it does not deliver long term. On very low levels, it'll last forever but I have a headlamp that will take care of that already. I was sure I had a defective model because my battery life wasn't close to that advertised. My other Fenix lights have been awesome for years but this is a really expensive product that fails."
