Q: Is HM53R rechargeable? How long is the charging time?

A: Yes. The HM53R features a USB Type-C port for charging. The normal charging time is approximately 2.5 hours from depleted to fully charged with a 5 V/1 A or above charging adapter. 

Q: How to prevent accidentally activating the HM53R?

A: 

Lock: With the lamp turned off, press and hold the switch for 3 seconds, the lamp will blink four times in Eco output of White light and then go out to indicate the locked status.

Unlock: With the light locked, press and hold the switch for 3 seconds, the lamp will blink four times and then activate in Eco output of White light to indicate that the lamp is unlocked.

Note: In locked status, clicking the switch will activate four blinks in Eco output of White light before turning off to indicate the locked status.

Q: Why does the HM53R downshift to a lower mode after being used for a while and the higher mode cannot be selected?

A: There are two reasons: 

The headlamp will accumulate a lot of heat when used at high output levels for extended periods. When the headlamp reaches a temperature of 55°C or above, the headlamp will automatically step down a few lumens to reduce the temperature. 

2. Low-voltage Warning

When the voltage level drops below the preset level, the headlamp is programmed to downshift to a lower brightness level until the lowest output level is reached. 

Q: Why does the HM53R sometimes flicker?

A: The reasons that may cause the headlamp to flicker, shine intermittently or even fail to illuminate:

A: Poor battery level.

Solution: Recharge or replace the battery.

B: The contact point or contact of the battery or headlamp is dirty. 

Solution: Clean the contact points with a cotton swab soaked in rubbing alcohol.
