A good light for unlit streets and trails

"The BCR30R is bright enough that I feel confident riding unlit city trails at night. It has 4 standard modes, but I will only go over level 3 and level 4 as 1 and 2 not useful to me at 20 mph. Level 3 gives me under 5 hours and level 4 just under 2 hours of battery life and the digital display lets you know exactly where you're at. Turbo mode is only available by using the wired USB micro remote and only for 20 seconds at a time. You WILL be noticed if you flash turbo mode and it is useful even on lit roads as vehicles are well aware you're there when using it. Pros: Bright light with multiple settings Turbo mode is super bright Lighted display lets you track how much charge is left Cons: It is a pain to plug the remote in when its dark out as it is USB micro The USB micro port doubles as the charging port I have attached 2 videos of the light on an unlit city trail. In one the bike is still and another with the bike at cruising speed of around 20mph."

A solid light that will get you seen

"Overall this is a solid light that will get you seen and let you see what's ahead. I do not understand why Fenix went with a USB micro over the USB C connector, though. I get they might not have wanted increased charging current ability, but having to plug a USB micro into the bottom of the unit in the dark, or in a lit parking lot after dark, is a pain in the butt. If Fenix is reading this - change that out to a USB C port and/or include a wireless remote switch as the burst mode is awesome, but only available through the remote switch."

    Awesome light, great features

"this light is rock solid and the digital display keeps you up to date with the amount of battery life left. Also the "burst" feature is a life saver! only reason I give it 4 stars is that they need to change the power plug to a USBC. the Micro USB is it's weakest point."

    Upgraded view

"This is the most compact light for how bright it is. Easy to unclip from the mount."

    Incredibly Bright!

"I've been a long time user of Fenix lights but this was my first bike light from Fenix. I cannot believe just how bright this thing is. Even on lower output settings it completely lights the road or path in front of me. The digital read out letting you know how much time you have left in your charge is super handy when you are miles from home. Fenix knocks another one out of the park!"
