The Fenix E04R is a compact clip-on light built for hands-free use in the field, on the job, or anywhere a secure, versatile mount matters. Its 360-degree rotating 16mm clip and 40-degree tilt angle let you position the beam exactly where you need it, whether clipped to a shirt pocket, gear strap, or hat brim. White output reaches up to 300 lumens with a beam distance of 151 feet (46 meters), backed by up to 23 hours of runtime for all-day and overnight reliability. The side-mounted warning light adds serious utility with red/blue flashing, red flashing, blue flashing, RGB pulse, and RGB chase modes, making the E04R a capable signal and safety light as well as a task light. Recharging is handled through a waterproof USB-C port, and electronic lockout prevents accidental activation in a pack or pocket.

Q: What kind of LEDs are used in E04R?

Q: What is the working voltage of E04R?

A: The working voltage is 3.0 V - 4.2 V. The limiting working voltage range is 2.8 V-4.35 V.

Q: Is E04R rechargeable? How long is the charging time?

A: Yes. The E04R is rechargeable via the USB Type-C charging port. The normal charging time is about 2 hours from depleted to fully charged with a 5V/1A or above charging adapter.

Q: How to prevent accidental activation of the E04R?

A: Press and hold the two switches simultaneously for 3 seconds to lock or unlock the flashlight.

Q: Why does the E04R downshift to a lower mode after being used for a while and the higher mode cannot be selected?

A: There are two reasons: 

1. Intelligent Overheat Protection

The light will accumulate a lot of heat when used at high output levels for extended periods. When the light reaches a temperature of 60°C/140°F or above, it will automatically step down a few lumens to reduce the temperature.

2. Low-voltage Warning

When the voltage level drops below the preset level, the flashlight is programmed to downshift to a lower brightness level until the lowest output is reached.

Q: Why does the E04R sometimes flicker?

A: The reasons that may cause the light to flicker, shine intermittently or even fail to illuminate:

1. Poor battery level.

Solution: Recharge the battery.

  1. The flashlight is locked.

Solution: Press and hold the main light switch and the side light switch simultaneously for 3 seconds to unlock the flashlight.
