Q. Why does the HL17R or its indicator sometimes flicker?

A: The reasons that may cause the lamp to flicker, shine intermittently or even fail to illuminate:

A: The lamp is locked.

Solution: Rotate the light ring clockwise to any designated mode to unlock the lamp.

B: Poor battery level.

Solution: Recharge the battery.

C: The contact point or contact of the battery or headlamp is dirty. 

Solution: Clean the contact points with a cotton swab soaked in rubbing alcohol.

Q. Why does the HL17R downshift to a lower mode after being used for a while and the higher mode cannot be selected?

A: When the voltage level drops below the preset level, the lamp is programmed to downshift to a lower brightness level until the lowest output of the currently selected mode is reached.

Q. Does the HL17R feature an intelligent memory circuit?

A: Yes. The HL17R automatically memorizes the last selected output of each mode. When turned on again, the previously used output of the currently selected mode will be recalled.
