Q: What is the color temperature of HM55R?
A: Spotlight: 6500K. Floodlight: 5000K.
Q: What is the working voltage of HM55R?
A: The working voltage range is 3.0 - 4.2 V. The limiting working voltage range is 2.75 - 4.2 V.
Q: Is HM55R rechargeable? How long is the charging time?
A: Yes. The HM55R is rechargeable via its USB Type-C port. The normal charging time is approximately 2.5 hours from depleted to fully charged.
Q: How to prevent accidentally activating the HM55R?
A: Remove the battery to prevent accidental activation.
Q: Why does the HM55R downshift to a lower mode after being used for a while and the higher mode cannot be selected?
A: There are two reasons:
1. Intelligent Overheat Protection
The headlamp will accumulate a lot of heat when used at high output levels for extended periods. When the headlamp reaches a temperature of 60°C or above, the headlamp will automatically step down a few lumens to reduce the temperature.
2. Low-voltage Warning
When the voltage level drops below the preset level, the headlamp is programmed to downshift to a lower brightness level until the lowest output level is reached.
Q: Why does the HM55R sometimes flicker?
A: The reasons that may cause the lamp to flicker, shine intermittently or even fail to illuminate:
B: Poor battery level.
Solution: Recharge or replace the battery.
C: The contact point or contact of the battery or headlamp is dirty.
Solution: Clean the contact points with a cotton swab soaked in rubbing alcohol.
If the above methods don't work, please contact Fenix-Store.
Q: What kind of battery can be used in HM55R?
A: It is recommended to use a Fenix ARB-L18-1600 battery. Other batteries(e.g., CR123A) are not recommended, as an unmatched battery may cause the headlamp to fail to work normally.
Q: What is the IP rating of the HM55R? Does its USB Type-C port feature inner waterproof treatment?
A: IP68. Yes, its USB Type-C port features inner waterproof treatment.
