Is HM65R-T V2.0 rechargeable? How long is the charging time?

The included 3400mAh is rechargeable. Uncover the anti-dust cap and plug the USB Type-C side of the charging cable into the charging port of the lamp to charge the battery. The charging time of the included Fenix ARB-L18-3400 is about 3 hours from depleted to fully charged with a 5V/2A charging adapter.

Why does the HM65R-T V2.0 downshift to a lower mode after being used for a while and the higher mode cannot be selected?

There are two reasons:
1. Intelligent Overheat Protection

A: Fenix ARB-L18-3400 battery is recommended. Compatible with 2 x CR123A batteries. Other Li-ion batteries are not recommended. As High output fail to
headlamp up due to current and voltage limitation, an unmatched battery may cause the headlamp to fail to work normally.

Great Headlamp

"Great headlamp! Originally concerned that the headlamp would slip or bounce, but neither concern was an issue. The headlamp is pretty light and being able to fine tune the fit so easily makes for secure and comfortable fit. Both the incandescent and led lights are bright. Having the two types make it great for different situations. Overall very happy with this purchase!"

Great headlamp! Small and compact

"Great headlamp! Small and compact and as bright as you will need in a headlamp."

Can't replace the headband

"I purchased the first version over a year ago. It is my favorite headlamp. Unfortunately the headband stretched to the point that I couldn't use it anymore. I purchased a new headband for $22 shipped only to find out the headband isn't replaceable? I modified (cut a slit in the plastic) in the light bracket to accept the new band. That worked for about 2 weeks until the bracket broke. I'm a bit aggravated, its a solid light, but whats the use if I can't replace a damaged headband? Judging by the images given for the V2, it has the same problem. I don't want or need to purchase a new light in the first place, but I'm not willing to deal with the same issue twice."

Absolutely the brightest best working

"Absolutely the brightest best working headlamp I’ve used. The lock feature is amazing, it allows you to store headlamp in backpack without it turning on and draining battery. It has excellent battery life as well!"

Donald S. (5/5)

V2 is disappointing

"I’m not sure who the V2 is targeted towards…why would someone want an additional color of the same output/spill? I shopped for a while to find a replacement for my original but ultimately decided to try the V2. It was returned after 2 days. Just doesn't offer the same value the original did. The spot and flood combo is what made the original invaluable, and they took that away. No, the V2 combo is not a sufficient replacement. Don’t waste your time/money. Why do companies feel the need to mess with a good thing? Also, I won’t be buying from the Fenix store again. They hosed me on my return refund. I’ll get through Amazon or a reputable vendor if I ever buy Fenix again (unlikely). Disappointing."

Soft Light Love

"It is hard to look at white light for 8 hours or more. Heck looking at it for just a couple hours is tough. White light has its place but the soft light is really all you need for most areas of trail on an overnight ultra run. It's just so nice to have the soft light with multiple brightness levels. The highest level on the soft light is very bright and way more than enough on trail. I use the medium settings most of the time. I run highly technical terrain and trails. This light is fantastic if your sick of looking at that eye hurting white light for hours. I love it!"

Noah P. (5/5)

Awesome Headlamp!

"Fits comfortably, shines bright and lasts a loooong time on one charge. Super happy work it!"

Evencio R. (5/5)

Basically perfect. Maybe a tad heavy.

"I use this for road and trail running as my primary light, and also use it for hiking. It's basically perfect except for being a smidge heavy. Never an issue with battery life, not enough light, or shorting from water or rough use."

Patrick (5/5)

Fantastic Light

"I purchased this headlamp a year ago and use in on my helmet for mountain biking with an extra Velcro strap, and also for hikes, camping, and home improvement projects. The headlamp is very bright and lightweight. I also appreciate being able to carry a spare battery on longer rides."
