"this is a great searchlight with a great price"
See farther, aim faster
The Fenix HT18R V2 gives you a long range hunting flashlight with a focused beam that reaches out when you need to pick out eyes, fence lines, or a trail in the brush. It throws 3700 lumen hunting light, with a smooth white beam that stays tight instead of spraying everywhere.
Grip it with gloves
The aluminum body feels firm in wet hands, and the knurled texture helps when you're carrying a rifle or wearing thick gloves. At 7.4 inches long, it rides easily in a pack or on a belt holster, and the tail switch is simple to find without looking.
Trust it on late nights
Two 5000mAh batteries, USB-C charging, and a clear battery indicator keep the light ready between trips. In a Fenix HT18R V2 review, hunters will care about beam distance, runtime, and the easy side controls. This one gives you all three, without extra fuss.
Overall rating: 4.5 / 5 from 10 reviews.

Amazing light … except…
"I debated hard whether to go 3 or 4 stars because I genuinely don’t like giving “bad” reviews. But my issue is quite annoying. It’s the location of the power button and lack of feel for the power button. I live in the country so there is zero light out here at night and it’s very frustrating trying to find the power in the complete dark, whereas my other Fenix light is on the end where it’s easy. The light itself is incredible and powerful as can be. If that isn’t something that bothers you this light is great."
It really needs a tail switch. It’s very difficult to operate with gloves.
"I really wanted to like this flashlight…It needs a tail switch to be effective. It’s extremely difficult for me to find the switch with gloves and then dark environments where I need this light to be responsive immediately. ."
Exceeded expectations
"The V2 long range hunting flashlight is aptly named (its namesake the Nazi V2 rocket had an incredible long range from Germany to London). And also like its namesake this flashlight really lights up the night!). The beam is like a jet aircraft head light. The beam is narrow and consented to reach a great distance 3/4 of a mile. There is a fair amount of spill light which lights up a 30 to 40 foot wide area to the sides of the beam. I do hope that Fenix will instal a tiny light on top of the strobe button. I encounter bears often and I need to find the strobe right away to shine in the beats eyes."
I own several fenix flash
"I own several fenix flash lights and have to be disappointed with anyone the ones that I have. They are durable and bright. I work in corretions and I recommend them to everyone that I work with. Keep up the good work."
Great Hunting Flashlight
"This light has been the best Fenix I have! I hate walking into and out of the woods in the dark. Too many obstacles for this 61 year to trip over! You'll love this light!"
very bright . .
"Amazing. This flashlight is very bright and reach long way. The only problem is to close to a object less said a feet you see dark square shadow. . ( visible). Disapear about 3 feet from the object. The head is kind a big the diameter is 2. 68 i wish was little smaller. Nice very bright special for outdoor, camping or hunting. . . ."
The Best Lights
"Hi! This is an absolutely honest review from just an ordinary guy! If I buy something and it impresses me, I'll leave my review about it! If anyone is looking for some awesome flashlights, look no further!! These lights are absolutely great! A few years back I got tired of the same old basic flashlights and decided I wanted a good one for a change! I ended up buying another brand (Nitecore) and it was a pretty nice flashlight. Think I paid around $90 for it. One day I opened the door on my truck and it rolled out and hit the ground, maybe a 2' drop. Never worked again. I ended up buying another one, same kind, it arrived at the house and I opened the box. Threw one of my already charged batteries from the other light in it and turned it on. NOTHING! Right out of the box it didnt work!!! The little square L. E. D. lit up ever so faintly and nothing more! Frustrating! Started looking for another light similar to that one. Fenix Lighting showed up and I started looking. I found the HT18R, which was just about the same as the Nitecore, but it was a couple more dollars. I splurged and bought myself one and also bought a PD36R along with it. When they arrived and I took 'em outside that nite in the pitch black to see just what they were all about, oh my!! I was VERY impressed! Im still impressed everytime I turn 'em on!. . lol. My son stopped by a few nites ago and I had the HT18R with me. I turned it on and he was like What the #@&!#??. . . lol. Said I cant believe how bright that light is!!!! I said yep! It'll be hard to find a better and brighter one!! The HT18R throws a super long bright beam and the PD36R is more of a light up your whole neighborhood kind of light. That PD36R is just as impressive with that wider pattern! Anyone wouldnt be disappointed with either of 'em!! The batteries are great! They dont die out and I like the fact that you can charge 'em up by plugging the C charger right into the side of the flashlight!! These are the only flashlights I will ever buy from now on! Im sure Nitecore has its place, but its not at my house anymore! Bought 2 and had two bad experiences and there won't be another! I'm so impressed with these Fenix lights that I just bought 3 more HT18R's and 3 more PD36R's for my kids for Christmas! For the type of work and other things they do, they're gonna like 'em!! It might have cost me a couple bucks, but I believe in "you get what you pay for"! These lights are absolutely worth every penny and once again, you wont be disappointed! Thank you FENIX!!!!"
Wow
"Received on 10/10, charged it. and took it out to try that night. I was amazed at the tight beam it throws and how far you can see with it. This is a spot beam and not a flood, and a spot is what I wanted. I live on a farm, and this will let you see whats in your fields. I like that you can go from low power right to turbo. Amazing power in a small package, only the laser has more distance. I think it is a great light for the price. Would buy again."
