Q: What kind of LEDs are used in LD36R?

A: 3 x Luminus SFT25R Gen2 LEDs and 3 x high-performance RGB LEDs with a lifespan of 50,000 hours each.

Q: What is the color temperature of the LD36R's white output?

A: Around 6500K.

Q: What is the working voltage and the working current of LD36R?

A: The working voltage is 3.0 V - 4.2 V and the maximum working current is 12 A.

Q: What is the runtime of the Turbo output?

A: The runtime of the Turbo output is 3 hours 41 minutes. However, the light will accumulate a significant amount of heat used at Turbo output. When the light reaches a certain temperature, the light will automatically step down a few lumens to reduce the temperature. Therefore, this runtime data is measured in total of runtime including output at reduced levels due to temperature or protection mechanism in the design. According to the ANSI/PLATO FL1 standard, this runtime data is from the results produced by Fenix through its laboratory testing under the temperature of 21±3°C. (For additional details, please check the runtime graphic in the user manual).

*According to the ANSI/PLATO FL1 standard, the initial reading of runtime is taken at 30 seconds of continuous operation, and the end point of reading is reached when the output value reaches 10% of the initial value.

Q: How to prevent accidentally activating the LD36R?

A: Turn off and lock the flashlight or take out the battery to prevent accidental activation during storage or transportation.

Q: Is LD36R rechargeable? How long is the charging time?

A: Yes, LD36R is rechargeable with an inner waterproof USB Type-C port. While charging, please follow the steps below:

  1. Turn off the flashlight and open the anti-dust cover to reveal the USB Type-C charging port, then connect the USB Type-C end of the charging cable to the light.

2. The indicator will display red while charging and will turn green when fully charged.

3. Once charging is completed, be sure to unplug the charging cable and close the anti-dust cover.

The normal charging time of the included Fenix ARB-L21-6000 battery is approximately 3.5 hours from depleted to fully charged with a 5 V/2.5 A charging adapter.

Q: What are the optional accessories for the LD36R?

A: The package comes with a lanyard, a holster, and an AOD-04 diffuser tip. Compatible accessories include: AOF-L filter adapter, AOT-04 traffic wand, AOD-M diffuser tip, etc.

Q: Why does the LD36R downshift to a lower mode after being used for a while and the higher mode cannot be selected?

A: There are two reasons:

1. Intelligent Overheat Protection

The flashlight will accumulate a lot of heat when used at high output levels for extended periods. When the light reaches a temperature of 60°C or above, the light will automatically step down a few lumens to reduce the temperature.

2. Low-voltage Warning

When the voltage level drops below the preset level, the flashlight is programmed to downshift to a lower brightness level until the lowest output level is reached.

Q: Why does the LD36R sometimes flicker?

A: The reasons that may cause the light to flicker, shine intermittently or even fail to illuminate:

1. Poor battery level.

Solution: Recharge or replace the battery.

2. The contact or contact point of the battery or light is dirty.

Solution: Clean the contact points with a cotton swab soaked in rubbing alcohol.
