Test in your application before you need it.

"These immediately burned out the (incandescent) lamp on my old Surefire 6P. Just too much amperage I suspect. I suspected it might be a problem, but had to try. Fit fine, but be sure to test in your light/etc. before you need to depend on it. I wouldn't try it in anything too expensive to replace."
