Q: What kind of LEDs are used in HP12R-T? Does Fenix offer to replace LED?

A: A Luminus SST25 cold white light LED and a Luminus SST20 neutral white light LED

Q: What is the working voltage of HP12R-T?

A: The working voltage is 2.8 V~7.0 V. The limiting working voltage is 2.7 V~7.0 V.

Q: What is the color temperature of HP12R-T?

A: 4000K - 6500K.

Q: Is HP12R-T rechargeable? How long is the charging time?

A: The HP12R-T’s battery case features a USB Type-C charging port. The normal charging time of the included battery is approximately 3.5 hours from depleted to fully charged.

Q: Can the HP12R-T be used in adverse weather conditions, such as rainy days or sandstorms?

A: The HP12R-T features IP66-rated protection. It can withstand heavy rain and splashing and is totally protected against dust and foreign objects as rated.

Q: Why does the HP12R-T sometimes flicker?

A: The reasons that may cause the lamp to flicker, shine intermittently or even fail to illuminate:

A: The lamp is locked.

Solution: Press and hold the two switches simultaneously for 3 seconds to unlock.

B: Poor battery level.

Solution: Recharge or replace the battery.

C: The contact point or contact of the battery or headlamp is dirty.

Solution: Clean the contact points with a cotton swab soaked in rubbing alcohol.

If the above methods don't work, please contact the distributor.

Q: Why does the HP12R-T downshift to a lower mode after being used for a while and the higher mode cannot be selected?

A: When the voltage level drops below the preset level, the lamp is programmed to downshift to a lower brightness level until the lowest output of the currently selected mode is reached. When the white light and the neutral white light are turned on at the same time, the lamp will automatically turn off the neutral white light and keep the Low output of the white light on. However, if the neutral white light is turned on alone, the lamp will automatically turn off the neutral white light and turn on the Low output of the white light. When the voltage level is still too low in the lowest output of the currently selected mode, the headlamp blinks 3 times every 5 minutes on the Low output of the white light to remind users to replace or recharge the battery in a timely manner.

Q: Does the HP12R-T feature intelligent memory circuit?

A: Yes. The HP12R-T automatically memorizes the last selected output of each mode. When turned on again, the previously used output of the currently selected mode will be recalled.

Q: How to prevent accidental activation of the HP12R-T?

A:

Lock: With the lamp turned off, press and hold the two switches simultaneously for 3 seconds, the lamp will blink 4 times on the Low output of the white light mode to indicate locked status.

Unlock: With the lamp locked, press and hold the two switches simultaneously for 3 seconds, the lamp will be activated with 4 blinks and activates on the Low output of the white light mode.

Note:

  1. In locked status, the battery case can be operated. Still, other operations except for unlocking the headlamp will activate 4 blinks on the Low output of the white light to indicate locked status.
  2. In locked status, re-inserting the battery will automatically unlock the headlamp.
